Jill is a 3 year old Albino boxer with a deformed hind leg but an absolutely beautiful temperament. White from head to toe, with slight pink around the eyes and muzzle, she is by far the cutest boxer that ever walked through the doors of Friendicoes. Jill's story makes us all wonder how heartless humans can be and how forgiving and generous an animal can be.
A Friendicoes volunteer on way to the shelter came across Jill trying to cross the busy through fare that makes the road in front of Friendicoes Delhi shelter. With cars whizzing past at 60-70kms/hour nobody knew how Jill had managed to avoid getting hit by a car. But when Friendicoes volunteer Sonali warily approached Jill so as not to spook her, Jill surprised her by coming to her and giving her a huge wet lick as if to say "Thank you for finding me". She had a plastic rope around her for a collar and a leash, and every one of her ribs showed. But Jill's affectionate greeting and her easy acceptance of all made her a friend with both human and canine residents of Friendicoes. On close observation it was found that she has had at least two litters in the past and due to negligence her hind leg has healed badly from a bone fracture in the past. She is still awaiting a home and a loving family who will accept her for what she is. We are all waiting for that lucky person who will look through her physical imperfections and see the well of love that she has inside her to give back.
