Chiti

Chiti, the name itself implies the size of the subject in our story which is a tiny little Chihuahua. Chiti, meaning Ant in Hindi, was abandoned by her owners but luckily for her Chiti landed up with an animal lover Rakhee who was unable to keep her as her 3 older dogs were in no mood to share her love and attention with another canine member. So.Chiti came to Friendicoes.

Everybody who underestimated this tiny little virago due to her size was soon made to change their opinion after they all fell victim to a tiny growl followed by a nip on their hands and a belligerent little creature throwing the angriest look at them. So much fury packed in such a tiny little form made everyone step back and wonder what it was all about. But soon we realized that it was all a façade to cover her insecurity and bewilderment at having been betrayed by her owners.

With a little coaxing and pampering Chiti soon mellowed and opened up but she still isn't very friendly to strangers. Then Snehal came visiting to Friendicoes.she runs the SPCA shelter and helpline in Gujrat, a state in Western India. Snehal saw Chiti and there was no looking back. Chiti who is wary of strangers took to Snehal in their first meeting itself and now Chiti refuses to be separated from Snehal much to the resentment of Happy, Snehal's Pug who considers Snehal to be his sole property and exercised monopoly rights on her till the advent of Chiti in their lives. But behind the dissatisfaction there's a grudging acceptance and interest in Happy's attitude for Chiti and this is what we all hope will turn into a lifetime bond of love and friendship. For now they are united and held together in their common love for Snehal whose family for their part keeps complaining of the pets' partiality for Snehal in spite of all their love and attention.
