| RSPCA comes visiting |
![]() |
The first week of July saw a welcome visitor to Friendicoes spay /neuter unit and the Sanctuary. After nearly 8 years, an RSPCA team comprising of International Aid Officer Corralie Farren, Veterinary officer Dr. Chris and Mr. Simon were visiting Friendicoes and it brought back happy memories of all the RSPCA has done for the Indian Animal welfare scene as well as for Friendicoes. We were the recipient of a grant that allowed us to buy the land on which the current Sanctuary at Gurgaon is based and Friendicoes has acknowledged their help on a stone slab that has been put up at the sanctuary thanking them for that generous grant. Today Friendicoes is able to take care of those animals that can’t be re homed or returned to the streets because of various disabilities and old age. We hope RSPCA comes back to work in India and involves itself in workshops and forums for exchange of skills and ideas, training programmes and takes an active role in the Indian Animal welfare scene. |
