FRIENDICOES-SECA believes that spay and neuter is the humane alternative to killing animals for controlling animal population in the streets.Ours has been a catalytic role in bringing about public awareness and changing government legislation in this area. Since 1993 the dogs of Delhi and its environs are brought to Friendicoes SECA to be sterilised and vaccinated against rabies and then returned to their street home. We have completed sterilizing and vaccinating over 40, 000 dogs. We are taking our ABC work to the state of Haryana, to the villages around our Sanctuary. Friendicoes proposes to vaccinate all dogs against rabies in these villages and sterilize them while educating the villagers in responsible pet ownership. Friendicoes receives no funding from the government of Haryana for this project and we depend on your donations.
At Friendicoes, we spay & neuter plus vaccinate over 8,000 stray dogs and cats annually. Friendicoes raises donations for the pre and post surgery costs of kenneling, feeding and maintenance. The Animal Birth Control project receives partial subsidy from the Government of India to cover medicine costs. The spay/neuter clinics need regular maintenance, a steady supply of medicines, new cages for overnight stay of animals and staff to care for them. Once again we depend on the generosity of donors.
It costs us 20$ to spay/neuter and vaccinate a street dog. To donate click here
